Roborobo and Ingatan Gajah have partnered to host the Robokit Inventor’s Workshop Overseas Program, scheduled from December 16 to 21, 2024, at Marina Square, Singapore. This program stands out from other robotics programs because the Robokit set provides a wider variety of electronic components (15+ components) compared to mainstream products like Lego, which are limited to a few sensors.
The Robokit set provides a wider variety of electronic components (15+ components) compared to mainstream products like Lego, which are limited to a few sensors.
The program integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM) concepts through interactive and hands-on experiences.
The robots selected mimic those seen in daily life, helping students understand how real-world machines are programmed and function.
Visiting a top university in Singapore will give students insight into higher education and possible career paths.
Singapore is a melting pot of cultures, where students can experience diversity firsthand, helping them develop global awareness and understanding of different cultures.
The robotic projects, problem solving, and critical thinking exercises are designed to show how the concepts learned are applied in real-world scenarios.
The blend of education and recreation during the Universal Studios tour offers balance between structured learning and relaxation.
Camp participants will be introduced to the exciting world of robotics and programming through a fun learning kit (ROBOKIT) and engaging environment. They will explore various challenges that spark their innovative spirit and develop creative solutions.
Innovators will cultivate essential building and programming skills to prepare for the next phase. This stage emphasizes skill development and teamwork, allowing participants to collaborate and identify their individual strengths and weaknesses.
Innovators will face a series of team challenges that test their skills. They’ll engage in speed building and problem solving, actively seeking feedback to refine their work. This phase highlights presentation skills, allowing participants to showcase their inventions and celebrate their creativity and innovation.
Upon arrival in Singapore, participants will kick off their visit with a city tour, discovering the unique blend of modern innovation and rich heritage that defines this global hub. After exploring key landmarks and gaining an introduction to Singapore’s culture, they will proceed to check into their hotel, where they can settle in and relax. The day will conclude with a welcome dinner, offering an opportunity to enjoy local cuisine and connect with fellow participants, setting a warm and inviting tone for the experiences ahead.
The workshop will introduce students to the Robokit, covering its components, sensors, tools, and programming interface. They'll build and program a simple robot with LEDs and buzzers, then progress to a sensing robot using IR sensors and motors. The day will conclude with a mini team challenge and a wrap-up session.
On day 3, the program will focus on building and programming two types of robots using the Robokit set. The day will start with a warm-up activity followed by a lesson on building a line tracing beetle robot. Students will then program the robot to follow a line on the ground. After a short break, they will learn to build a bulldozer robot, incorporating the use of servo motors and a joystick module. The day will conclude with a mini team challenge and a wrap up session.
Day 4 of the program will focus on building a space arcade robot using the Rootkit set. Students will first construct the robot and then program it to interact with the Scratch software. The day will continue with a team challenge, where teams will compete in speed building, programming, and operation challenges. The program will conclude with a certificate presentation, photo session, and closing remarks.
A trip to Universal Studios with friends offers a thrilling and unforgettable experience, ideal for team building and enhancing teamwork. Here, students immerse themselves in iconic movie worlds, ride heart-pounding roller coasters, and meet beloved characters.
Indulge in an enriching academic experience by embarking on a tour of top leading universities. Immerse yourself in world-class campuses. Explore cutting-edge research facilities, vibrant student life, and diverse cultural experiences. At the end of the day participants will return to Jakarta.
